Amen! I so needed this reminder! I was struggling with a lot of discontentment in 2023 and could not figure out why. When all the things that were causing me discontentment, that I was focusing on and idolizing over God, were taken away, I was hurt and angry at God. It took lot of time, in God’s Word and prayer, asking Him why I couldn’t have those things that were taken away and why I couldn’t be content without them and why I had constantly, especially in those hard moments of processing, felt a desperate need for more. Gradually, I recognized it - God voice saying, “Child, look at me, you don’t need any of this. These things can never satisfy you. I am all you need.” So, as I am striving to become more dependent on Him and not dependent on or desiring the things of this world, I’m reminded through this study how amazing it will be on the day we finally get to be with God. We’ll finally get to witness all of His glory and be filled and completely satisfied in Him, lacking nothing. Thank you so much for sharing this devotional!!!

Donna, I love that you included praise right after the recognition of a void. This speaks powerfully to me today. We must live thankful that the weight of glory pulls us to Home to Him.
